Examination System
Savitridevi Hariram Agarwal International School nurtures the holistic growth and development of every student.
PRE PRIMARY
Pre-primary students will be assessed on the basis of their daily performance in the class throughout the day in school. They will be observed and graded.
The academic year has three terms. Students will be observed and graded at the end of each term. There will be an Open house for the Parents to see the report card of their wards.
Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Secondary 1
1. There will be two semesters in an academic year.
2. Class test will be conducted at the end of every lesson to check student’s Strengths & Weakness.
3. The assessment consists:
Grade I & II
Students will be evaluated through Formative Assessment & Internal Assessment. For which performance report will be given with their strength and weakness with the grades.
Grade III to V
Class Test – 30%
Semester Exam – 60%
Internal Assessment – 10%
Grade VI to VIII
Class Test – 20%
Semester Exam – 80%
Grade IX
Semester Exam – 100 marks
Grade X
Prelims – 100 marks
4. Time – Table for Class Test and Semester Exam will be given in advance.
5. Parents meeting will be conducted class wise to discuss strength and weakness of the students.
6. Cambridge checkpoint exam will be conducted in the month of April or May for grade V and Grade VIII.
– Cambridge checkpoint tests are provided by University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). The world’s largest provider of international qualifications for 14 – 19 year old.
– Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Examination will be in Grade V. Cambridge Secondary 1 Checkpoint Examination will be conducted in Grade VIII.
– Cambridge Checkpoint has a three year curriculum (from age 11 to 14) with diagnostic tests at end of the programme.

IGCSE
Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international curriculum for 14 – 16 year olds, leading to globally recognised and valued Cambridge IGCSE qualification. It is a part of Cambridge Secondary 2 stage.
Cambridge IGCSE examination sessions occur thrice a year, in Feb / March, May / June and October / November. Results are declared after 45 days from the day of examination.
